What is VitashineTM?

Vitashine™ is a special oily extract of Lichen (algae), which is naturally rich in Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) and fatty acids. It is the world’s only vegan and Vegetarian Society-registered vitamin D3. Lichens are small, unique plant species that consist of the symbiotic association of a fungus with algae. This gives them unique attributes such as surviving in extreme climates and having the ability to grow and accumulate meaningful levels of useful nutrients, including Cholecalciferol. It’s pesticide-free, with organic growing conditions and sustainable growing sites.

How does VitashineTM work?

  • VitashineTMand Cellular Health: It helps decrease cell proliferation and increases cell differentiation, stops the growth of new blood vessels, and has significant anti-inflammatory effects.
  • Vitamin D and Heart Health: Several studies have shown that the protective effect of VitashineTMon the heart could be via the renin-angiotensin hormone system, through the suppression of inflammation, or directly on the cells of the heart and blood vessel walls
  • Vitamin D and Blood Pressure: The anti-hypertensive effects of VitashineTM are mediated by renoprotective effects, suppression of the RAAS, beneficial effects on calcium homeostasis, including the prevention of secondary hyperparathyroidism, and vascular protection.
  • VitashineTM and Diabetes: The β-cell in the pancreas that secretes insulin has been shown to contain VDRs as well as the 1 alpha-hydroxylase enzyme. Evidence indicates that it improves glucose tolerance and insulin resistance. Vitamin D deficiency leads to reduced insulin secretion.
  • Vitamin D and Bone and Muscle: It regulates calcium and phosphate levels in the body. These nutrients are needed to keep bones and muscles healthy. Calcium absorption helps with bone mineralization.
