I don’t want a lot this winter
There is just one thing I need!
But what is it that you really want? Is it a cup of piping hot coffee while you’re cuddled up with a book? Or do you just want to eat without putting on the holiday weight? Are you craving a soothing pumpkin latte or a never-ending supply of thick hot chocolate with your favourite person by your side? Or is it just warmth that you crave in the form of snuggles and hugs this winter? What if we said you can get all of this and more in just a cup or a glass of healthy festive drink? All of it without feeling guilty about cheating on that diet or eating mindlessly. Here’s a list of healthy drinks that promise to light up your holiday season!
The Ho Ho Ho Hot Chocolate
Get ready for all those warm fuzzies this winter.
What you will need
- 1 ½ cup Almond Milk
- 80g Dark Chocolate (70%)
- 2-3 tbsp Maple Syrup
- ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2-3 drops Peppermint Extract
- A pinch of Salt
Preparing this warm healthy drink is far from rocket science. Just mix the Almond Milk and Dark Chocolate on medium heat and whisk until the chocolate has melted. Once you’ve done that, add in all the remaining ingredients, find the largest mug you have, pour it in, sit in your coziest corner and enjoy.
The Grinch Punch
Nothing screams festivities more than a deliciously green healthy drink. Usually made with Sugar, Pineapple Juice, Sprite, Kool-Aid and some more ingredients, this healthier version tastes just as good and is even better for your body.
What you will need
- 1 tablet of Daily Greens
- 250ml Water
(Yes, that’s it!)
All you’ve got to do is just drop, fiz, and sip. Put one tablet into the water, stare at the drink fizzing up because it is almost like an ASMR video, and once you see it has dissolved completely, drink your way up to a healthier you.
The Elf’s Mocktail
Salivate and celebrate the right way with festive healthy drinks with a twist!
What you will need
- ¼ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- ½ cup Cranberry Juice
- ¼ cup Soda Water
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Lemon slice or peel (optional)
Did you think a delectable drink could also help detoxify and cleanse your body of all the festive junk you’ve put into it? Recreate this drink and you’ll find your answer. Start off with the Apple Cider Vinegar and Cranberry Juice, only to follow it up with a splash of soda to have your drink bubble just like your tummy will at the sight of it. Finish it off with Lemon Juice and garnishes of your choice, as we all know that we eat with our eyes first.
Santa’s Spiced Latte
What’s winter without a punchy spicy drink that awakens all your senses? Then again, a decaf version of that with no milk or sugar is even better.
What will you need
- 1 tablet of Grandma’s Kadha
- 250 ml Water
You’re just three steps away from a hug in a mug. Heat the water, drop the tablet in, and wait for a couple of minutes. Once your tablet has completely dissolved, enjoy this refreshing and immunity-boosting drink.
